Summer

Summer officially starts on the 21st, but it has already started for all of us out this way. Zach had his Basketball camp last week and did real well. His team took first place and he took a 2nd place award for free throw shooting. He really does enjoy the sport and his game is pretty good. Can he beat Dad? You bet! I still throw like a ........ Yes, the photo is an old shot of Zach but I kind of played around with it a bit.

Whats next for Zach? Well there is some discussion of a Spanish Camp. He is taking Spanish next year in High School. He's not to thrilled with the idea but it would give him a leg up. So far he's been been hanging around with his cousin and playing a lot of video games.

George our Parakeet was real sick last week. We noticed Last Thursday morning that he was acting a little quiet. He started sneezing and throwing up. We took him to the Vet and got him on antibiotics. He had a few rough days but is doing much better. I learned something about birds through this. A bird will hide the fact that they are sick so that they will not be cut from the flock or not allowed to eat. I know you all hear me whining about the little guy but he is part of the family and gives us all much joy. He still has a few days left of his medicine and let me tell you the fun in administering that to a little bird. Song playing on the blog is dedicated to George. He really does think he's an Eagle.
