A.F.J.R.O.T.C Cadet Airman

As I think you all know Zach is in the Air Force R.O.T.C program at his High School. Its his first year and so far pretty excited about the whole thing. Right now their doing the basics, learning the history of the Air Force and learning how to drill. They also do their P.T(Physical Training) which counts for his P.E class. He started the after school program last year at his Middle School to get a taste of the program. He liked it and decided he wanted to try the program at the next level. He was a little uneasy about wearing the uniform but I told him that women love a man in a uniform! The uniform is a little bare but I'm sure he will fill it up with a few ribbons.

I'm already seeing a little change in Zach, He says "Sir"and I'm still looking over my shoulder wondering who he is talking too. He has an Uncle who is in the Air Force and I'm sure that there is a little sense of pride there for his nephew. I know as his father I'm very proud of him but would be with whatever he wants to do with his life. Hope you enjoy the photos, I think he looks sharp! and please no comments on the haircut!

Zachary looks great - and you're right - women do love men in uniforms! We're all proud of him and how he's doing!

I stumbled on this while searching pictures of AFJROTC kids. I am in charge of an AFJROTC unit in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Great to see that Zach is enjoying the program and we hope he sticks with it!!! It leads to great experiences of self development, and service to the community! Welcome, Zach!!!!
